That's truly a very kind offer. Let me do a line-in test and see what
transpires and then we can talk further. I can't see anything physically
wrong with the card (at least nothing a decent multimeter and sensitive nose
can detect) and all my cabling now checks out. May very well be the cheap
PC mic I'm using. =)
