I must totally agree, also IMHO. Many of the companies
left that do deal in Apple II are very over-priced. It seems
that they do not follow the market. Much of the business
I do is not, I repeat, not lucrative. I do it because I feel that
the Apple II got a raw deal and I'd like to help keep them
going. Especially the IIgs and IIc+. If Apple had any insight
into progressive technology, they would have seen that these
II particular machines could be 32 bit processors capable of
much. I believe with a little cooperative engineering and
software developement, the remaining Apple II enthusiasts
could in fact build a card which would run over the mother-
board as it is, and not only be the Apple II of today, but also
be able to run all the old IIgs/IIc+ software. I'm going to
approach WDC to see how fast their 65816 compatible
processor is now and how available they are. Wouldn't
this be something to light a fire under the hobbyists and
get their technological juices flowing? Let's get together
and do something with these things. I can see that they are
much more capable than ever imagined by Woz or Jobs.
God knows there are enough of them floating around to
make something out of. Come with me on a journey
similar to the one Woz and Jobs went on over 20 years
ago. We can do it. Come on people.
