Just a note: I "get around" the Internet alot as well, and I receive 0%
spam, nadda, nothing whatsoever. Absolutely zippo. And I'm perfectly happy
with that number, I have no patience for junk email being sent to me
unsolicited. Anything more than 0% would be unacceptable for me.

- I use a seperate email client, seperate USENET reader client, and
webrowser for what I do

- Posting to USENET, I completely munge my email address as you can see in
the header of this post

- I have my web browser set up so that it does not have my name/email
address available from within and so that it doesn't give out that
information when visiting web sites

- Even when posting my email address within the body of text in a USENET
message, I still munge it, with instructions that follow on how to take
out the invalid parts in order to reply to my real email address

- I subscribe to no mailing lists

Just some ways to avoid spam, works everytime. :)
