Oh, I don't know.  BeagleWrite is WYSIWYG-pretty, with pull down menus, desk
accessories, multiple fonts, etc.  If they just hadn't copied the MacWrite
spellchecker so exactly, it'd be even better.

II Write does the same, less the desk accessories, but it allows four document
windows on the desktop at the same time.

  Three years ago, our school board, superintendent in-tow, came to each school
as a "meet the community" tour.  When they pushed for new computers, so that
students could learn word processing skills, I reminded them that for the last
15 years, they already had that capability at each school, in computers labs
and classrooms.  If they hadn't used that ability of the Apple II computers for
a decade and a half, then it probably wouldn't get done with new computers
either.  They did see the point.  I prefer to think of it as recognizing that
the parents in the community work hard for their money and their taxes.  They
DESERVE to get the full return on their money, not simply upgrading to newer
computers every 2 years because the new computers won't run the newest
software.
