5.25-inch (143K): GCR.
3.5-inch (400K, 800K): GCR
3.5-inch "Superdrive" (AKA FDHD) supports 400K and 800K GCR formats, and
720K and 1440K MFM formats.
However, to use MFM format on a Superdrive on an Apple II, you need
a special controller card that is not very common. If you use the
Superdrive without the special controller, it will only handle the
GCR formats.
