Re: What's your favorite Hard Drive Backup device??

Reliability. Ok we'll skip that.

Cost. Ummmmmm, you get, usually or frequently, Zip disks with your
used Ebay purchase. Typically, these guys are around $20-30 complete
with a couple of disks. I see disks infrequently in the thrift shop
nearby for cheapo. SyQuests were pretty cheap too, and there use to be
that "big box of disks" for cheap (I have a lifetime supply). However,
I don't see that (box-o-disk) with Zips. External SCSI enclsures
aren't THAT cheap, as I recall, because the enclosure is so versitle.

I totally agree that you can get lots of small naked SCSI HDs for
cheap. I have a few from upgraded Macs myself, in fact, I was thinking
of putting one in an eternal SCSI case because the SyQuests are loud
and annoying.

Hey, I think this fellow should do this ..... buy another external HD
for those partitions on the Zip (assuming they are used enought to
warrant this), then use the Zip for backup.
