    There are 1 megabyte cards that go in the auxiliary slot of a IIe.
 Probably best known is the RAMWorks III by Applied Engineering. 
There are also 1 megabyte expansion cards that go into the standard
slots of any Apple II.  An example is the RAMFactor card by AE.  That
one has interesting software in ROM that allows one to set up a
partitioned RAM disk.
