(I have a Samsung LCD (SyncMaster 170MP) which has exactly
these functions built-in, with the added fun of picture-in-picture
for the various inputs.)

So it still doesn't provide high-bandwidth RGB NTSC input
to a VGA display.  (It also does not provide component inputs,
which would be very close to doing the job.)

Still looking...   ;-(
