Are you talking about just the computer, or a complete system? In 1985, my
parents forked over ~$2100 for a IIe system with 128K, a DuoDisk, a
green-screen Monitor II, and an Imagewriter connected through a Super Serial
Card. The printer & serial card accounted for ~$600 of that, which puts the
rest of the system at ~$1500.
(It was purchased at the BX at RAF Lakenheath...whether AAFES' pricing at
the time was significantly higher or lower than typical stateside pricing, I
couldn't say.)
