Hello.  I think the ROM 03 has 1.125MB RAM on the motherboard, and the ROM
00 and ROM 01 have 256KB, like Bill said.  Check the FAQ for more
information.  It lists several differences.

The "fully populated" 1MB card is the Apple brand card.  Other manufacturers
made cards that hold up to 8MB RAM.  I bought a Sirius RAM card from
www.allelec.com.  It had 4MB of RAM for $79, plus about $10 for shipping.
They have an 8MB model for $99.  It uses 30-pin SIMM's.  Some of the older
cards use hard to find types of RAM.
    If you got a ROM 03 with the 1.125 MB RAM, the Apple card fully
populated would get you to 2.125MB, which is not too bad and fairly cheap.
You should be able to find a ROM 03 box with fully populated 1MB Apple card
for under $20 on www.ebay.com.
