you might want to also try in the follwoing groups
comp.periphs.printers
comp.mac.sys.printing

as those target printers more specifically. 
I think there were other laserprinters back then that may have used the 
same cartridge and/or toner technologies.
It seems to have used a Canon CX print engine...
