Re: Keyboard conversion project? IIGS portable ideas

Y'know, I just thought of something after reading Glenn's comments. If you
had an Apple IIGS logic board with the IIe keyboard connector, you could
pretty much ditch the ADB idea and instead try to make an Apple IIe keyboard
out of the Toshiba keyboard. I would imagine the IIe keyboard is a lot
simpler than the IIGS keyboard, in that I believe the keyboard controller
for the IIe keyboard is on the IIgs logic board itself. I could be wrong,
though. :P

The IIe keyboard is definitely much simpler. All there is on the IIe
keyboard is key switches and two resistors. There's also a light bulb
but that's really optional.
Does that keyboard have a locking Caps Lock? If it doesn't that could
turn into a major annoyance at times.
