If your computer only has USB and Ethernet connectors you will need a
bridge between localtalk and ether net such as a Gatorbox

Actually, on second thought, if your hosting Mac has both serial and
Ethernet ports it can act as both a host and a bridge. So you might look
at Mr. Garber's offer.
If your PBG3 has serial ports it's easier you could use the old style
connectors
