It's also a reason why you wouldn't want the Mac to become as
popular as the PC currently is: if it did, the Mac would become
subjected to the same flood of viruses and worms....
However, there are some easy precautions you can take on a PC
to cut down the risk considerably:
1. Don't use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express for email.
There are plenty of alternatives.
2. Don't open any executable file you receive in your mail
which arrives unexpectedly.
Personally, I read my mail and news on a UNIX system, which
makes me immune to all these viruses and worms.
