Couldn't agree more... if we start with hardware-specific ports we'll end up
with a tower of Babel. If version 1 runs on a stock A2 then those who are so
inclined can work on expanding it's functionality to suit more capable sys-
tems, but if version 1.0 only runs on a fast GS with a hard drive then it'll
be no breakthrough at all... 
Don't forget that having an original ][ online will give us five years worth
of cool points to use against the cbm crowd ;-)
