Certainly, there is no one standard clock for the Apple ][. It might
be necessary to roll your own Thunderclock support and hope there is a
clock card in the ][ and that it is Thunderclock compatible. The
Gregory clock emulator, for example, is not.

It seems that the Apple ][ port may get complicated, with configuration options or patches for different hardware configurations. I suspect we will get an initial version that matches CHRIS MORSE's hardware, and that would be just fine. I would also point out that Gregory doesn't even use his own emulator.

What is needed is not the time of day, but a source of regular
timer interrupts. Some clock cards can provide such interrupts,
but I would expect that they are needed at around 60Hz, like VBL.

Any peripheral card with a 6522 (like a Mockingboard) can generate
such interrupts, as can a mouse card, or a //c or IIgs.

When one bought a copy of GEOS for the II, one got a tiny little card that would generate interrupts, and that's all it did.

I think I still have one or two of them.

Does anyone need one in order to recreate a similiar card so any II can have such interrupts?
