I had checked out an embedded ethernet device using the CS8900,
and it should be quite easy to attach the signals to the Apple II slot.
There are only 16 connections needed. The problem would be only
removing all the components from an old card ( traces, etc...), then
attaching the card to the Apple card and running the signals to the
proper pins on the Apple II card. An old disk II card may have all
the necessary slot pins on it, not sure though, haven't gotten that far.
Final difficulty. The actual purchase of the embedded adapter. ;-)
