For Mac OS X, groepaz hinted me to a page that might be of interest
for getting network connectivity for emulators under Mac OS X:

   http://chrisp.de/en/projects/tunnel.html

I have been using the FreeBSD tun interface to get packets in and out
of Vice under FreeBSD. Does Vice work on Mac OS X? If so, does it
support RS-232 emulation? In that case, the above tun interface for
Mac OS X should make it possible to actually run Contiki with Internet
connectivity.
