Please read again. There's a difference between a "kernel" and a "kernal". A
"kernel" is a core of something, while "kernal" is used in the Commodore world
when talking about the ROM containing the operating system. So

  * Multitasking kernel

does just mean that the Contiki core contains features to allow different apps
to run at the same time.

And, because Adam was talking about a "kernel" (not the "kernal"), there's no
need to swap any ROMs.
