Why worry about ROM replacement. Just a good plugin cartridge and bank out
BASIC/KERNAL/DOS ROMs.

If you are really creative. How about a cartridge with a CF interface. I am
really impressed. I think the concept is a great concept to adopt some
principles for in a more advance project.
