There is a program called Oversampler that will
do what you want.  Look on the "ground" ftp
server in the sound section.  There are several
example files.

Oversampler streams the wave from your IIGS
hard drive so you don't need 7MB to play a
7MB wave.

There is also a way to set the IIGS file type
and aux type so that Oversampler will play the
wave at the correct sampling rate.

FYI, a wave sampled at 26360kHz (if memory
serves) will sound best due to synchronicity
with the harmonics of the IIGS power supply.
You can use Oversampler to play back at 2X
oversampling.

Hmm...come to think of it, when I used my
IIGS which had over 1GB of hard drive space,
I did a lot of MP3 to IIGS format conversions.
