not necessarily, it is possible to make disk images of 5.25" disks. look at
the file size for a clue.
Syndicomm and other sites sell some system disk (incl 5.25 I think), which
is probably easier if you havn't got anything else. making disks from disk
images requires more than just an Apple IIe with a 5.25 drive. ADT seems to
be the popular choice if you have a PC & can make up a serial cable, meaning
you also need a serial card on your IIe. Personally I use PCs/Mac's/GS's and
networking to get downloads onto 5.25 format.

an enhanced model has a 65C02 CPU or 6503 instead of a 6502.
also on boot up if the top of the display reads "Apple ][" it's not
enhanced, if it reads "Apple //e" it is.
other differences include mouse text if you can run a program that will
display it. also a genuine enhanced model has an "Enhanced" label over the
power light on the bottom left hand side of the keyboard, although this is
only cosmetic.
