Neat! It sounds almost as though the GS is booting into either P8 or GSOS first. If this is the case it needs to have the Pascal FST installed. Then again if the floppy is booting then it's probably an error in the Pascal OS. Version 1.4 was written specifically for the 128K //e.Hello, A friend have some problem with 400k Pascal formatted disc: he used to work on an Apple //e with 400k 3.5 drive (Sony, seems to be very special) and an EICON (? special and rare ??) card Interface under Apple Pascal USD 1.1 or 1.2. For whatever reason, this configuration does not work anymore. He want to work now on an Apple IIGS with Apple 3.5 drive. But we cannot read these very special disks on the Apple IIgs. Apple Pascal work, but cannot see the drive, or crash. I never see a 400k Pascal disk before. May be there is Pascal drivers for the Apple II GS ? I have the UNIMATE drivers, but no way, Pascal hang when doing the [V]ol command under [F]ile. Thanks in advance ;-) Jerome
Might I suggest a rather round about way of solving your problem. There are a couple of GS specific Pascals available. Rather than use Apple Pascal, switch to GSOS and port the source files over. Your friend will gain in speed, stability, and new features what he will lose in porting time and any cost.
