Re: Apple 3.5" drive questions
You can use BlueDisk controller card from //SHH Systeme, Germany. This
BlueDisk controller card allows to read/write PC floppy drive that supports
720K, 800K, 1.44MB, 1.6MB, and 2.88MB. It does support 160K, 180K, 320K,
360K and 1.2MB for 5.25".
This card can be installed on all Apple II+, //e, and IIgs. You can be
able to copy and/or transfer files between Apple II 3.5"/5.25" drives and
BlueDisk drives. It does format ProDOS and MS-DOS on BlueDisk drives. I
have used it and I like it very much.
It is true that MS-DOS can be read and written on Apple II 800K drive,
BUT GCR scheme and MFM scheme are not the EXACT SAME however you can ONLY do
is to TRANSFER files.
