How Does PCT Work?
1) Boot PCT Utility Diskette with ProDOS mode.
2) Run AEPCT.System
3) Question--Does AEPCT.System use 6502/65816 codes to read PCT's ROM in
$C600 (Slot 6) before 6502's JMP is executed WHILE data is stored on 6502's
stack waiting for RTS. After 6502's JMP is executed, most x86 code in
AEPCT.System will begin executing into PCT's RAM. It still accesses to x86
CPU.
4) After hit QUIT from PCT's Control Panel, QUIT reads x86 code until it
hits x86's REL (RTS). PCT returns back to 6502's stack where C600 was
executed. JMP was popped out of 6502's stack and then RTS was executed to
return to the Apple II BASIC/ProDOS prompt. Is it how PCT works?
Are all Control Panel firmware stored in AEPCT.System, but not on PCT's
ROM? Does PCT have its own BIOS? I am curious.
