The eternal quest

In the eternal quest for network connectivity for Apple ][ ( ][+,//c,//c+ and Laser 128s ). I have just come an interesting product which might be very useful. a company called Portsmith
(http://www.portsmith.com) makes a Serial to Ethernet converter, for use with various PDAs. It
seems to me that this product would be adaptable to the Apple2 computers, if the right
software were written. With a super serial card or the build in serial ports, a simple adapter
cable could be constructed to drive the computer. It would require a lot less computing resources
from the Apple if the Apple did not have to run a full TCP/IP stack.

I know it would be slow. What do you think?
