Re Inits

Hi,
 Where do the inits files go in GS/OS ? In the system setup folder or
in finder extras? I know there are 2 types of inits files, temporary
and permament.
 Data files files from add ons go where ?  Finder Extras?
 Finder Extensions go where? Finder Extras?
 Perferences always in the perference folder right?
 What about magic routing, where the system would put the items away
in the right place. I sem to remember that the GS/OS would do it once,
and have to rebooted to do it again. It has been awhile, and I want
set up a few HDs, but I want to do it the right way to elminate as
many problems as I can.
