I just bought a Rev D RamFAST 3.01EZ, and I'm pretty excited about it.
BUT, I can't connect a drive, because the card did not come with any
cables. I don't know what the pinout is for the 26-pin connector on the
RamFAST, so I'm not ready to try building a cable. I do have a
motherboard printer cable that's a perfect physical fit - IDC-26 to DB-
25F, but I have no idea if that cable is wired properly for use with a
RamFAST. I'd like to know how I can fashion or obtain a replacement
cable.
Since I plan to towerize my IIgs, I'd rather find a way of getting that
IDC-26 connector hooked up directly to a standard 50-pin IDC SCSI cable.
Of course, the best option for me would be an Econ Pegasus cable: a
three-headed cable with a DB-25 for external devices, a 50-pin IDC
connector for internal devices, and the 26-pin IDC connector to the SCSI
card. I'd LOVE to have that. I'd probably even pay to have one built,
if I could find the cable specs.
Also, what enhancements are offered in a 3.01F revision, versus my
3.01EZ? Can I still obtain an upgrade?
Thank you everyone.
