IIGS: How to recognize 519 Meg hard drive?

At a Mac shop, I bought a 519 meg Fujitsu SCSI hard drive in external box,
and have tested it with Chinook SCSI software. It took 3-4 hours for it to
test all the blocks, but all blocks are GOOD! Amazizing bargain for just
$25.

The IIgs Rom 01 I connected it to is run on Prodos 8, and it recognized
only half the space, in 32 Meg blocks. The software gave a message that,
under IIgs system 6.0.1, all the space on the hard drive will be
recognized.

Is this true? Also, how will the slots be arranged? Is the partitioning
done automatically? Does it place more than two 32 meg partitions at each
slot???

My IIgs Rom 03 "flagship" is running just fine on its 250 meg hard drive
---- the new 519 meg unit will be put into active service when/if the
Quantum 250 megger later conks out.
