Disk II Reference
Do you know where can I obtain Disk II Reference that it has all
technical information? I am interested to study Disk II Family including
IWM. First, I would like to study the original Disk II and then IWM at
later time. I only get very little information that I can't understand how
the hardware works.
For example, Disk II has over 70-80 tracks. It means to use even track
(0,2,4,6,8,...) that equals to decoded track (0,1,2,3,4,5...). I don't know
what odd tracks contain data. I guess that both even-odd tracks are
combined together like 4-4 encoding. For example, 0-1 track equals to 0
track, 2-3 track equals to 1 track, 4-5 track equals to 2 track, etc.
Since I can't obtain the information because "Understanding the Apple
II+/IIe book" is never available, there should be another way to obtain the
information that is isolated to Disk II only that I am interested.
Source code from any emulator project is not important to me, but I want
to concentrate to study on Disk II for real Apple II+... Thanks...
