Re: Computing Editorial (please read)
Someone in this thread posted the question "why is this thread in
comp.sys.apple2?", given that it has not mentioned the Apple II? I
think that is a very valid point, and it prompted me to do some homework.
This thread is apparently cross posted to the following groups:
comp.sys.cbm,
comp.sys.apple2,
rec.games.video.classic,
comp.os.cpm
and the subjects of the thread (in comp.os.cpm) for the last few dozen
messages (which now total over 260!) are about single board computers,
how cheap computers are today, and how and why
to scan old computer docs for preservation and distribution. Meanwhile,
the original post was essentially a laundry list of old computers, magazines
and companies, how neat it was then, and how neat it is to have interest
in them today. That original "editorialist"
stated interest was in C128's; he's only added two more posts to the
260 subsequent messages in the thread.
I hope this information informs the participants in the thread, they can
draw their own conclusions and act accordingly. IN particular, they may
want to either create new threads or not post their replies in some
newsgroups as someone suggested.
