I don't have a hard disk for my apple IIGS, and I'm wondering if
anyone has written a program that allows you to run some sort of
"server" on a PC which the GS accesses over a serial port.  If not, is

Actually, thanks to Marsha Jackson's nice work, it is now possible to boot a IIgs or //e + Workstation Card from a Linux box running netatalk. This feature is currently in the SourceForge CVS tree, although it won't be generally released until version 1.7.0.
