Are you running AppleShare 3.0 or earlier on the Macintosh? You need that in
order for the IIGS to boot off the network. I haven't tried mounting the
ProDOS volume on an AppleShare server... I didn't think you could even do
that, so I don't think having that partition made would do you any good. Get
AppleShare 3.0, then we can help you further (AppleShare 3.0 is NOT
freeware, though I've seen a web site that has the software, but I won't
provide the link). You can usually find it being sold on eBay.
The latest version of Mac OS you can run on the Centris 650 is 8.1. That's
according to Apple:
