The theoretical maximum amount of RAM that could be accessed using a
RamWorks III is 16 MB (256 banks, 64 KB per bank).

If I remember right, the actual maximum amount of RAM which can be
installed on the card is 1 MB, and there was a piggyback card which
added a further 2 MB.  In theory, someone could make a piggyback card
for the RamWorks III which supported even more memory than this.
