it might be possible to connect a SCSI CDRW into your mac and burn the
CD of SHK files directly from it. This CD if burned in iso9660 format
would be easiest way to transfer between your mac and pc. Of course,
if your CDRW is not SCSI, you can't connect it to the mac. I think
there should be some PC software that allows you to read mac formatted
harddisks.
If ever you find no choice but to use null-modem transfer, zip up all
the files on the mac so that you only need to transfer 1 file to the
pc. once it starts, you can sleep on it, when you wake up it's all
there.
