The other option is to select the 'SetStart' Contol Panel in System 6
(GS/OS) and check off "Enable Programmer CDAs". Once you reboot
they'll appear.
On the ROM 3, once this option is enabled it changes a bit value in
the battery RAM and they'll always appear from that point on, even if
you just switch on the machine without loading any software. A couple
of motherboards have a hardware bug where they're permanently active
and cannot be disabled conventionally.
