I've posted many times that a number of us have found an Apple II friendly
ISP at www.foxvalley.net. I've been with them for the past several years,
and for the most part are content with them. Us Apple II folks use their
dial up shell account, and the ISP does a good job of making us happy. I
pay about $16/month, and with that comes a local dial up access number.
And, a Linux Shell Account. And, PPP as well as web access for e-mail (if
you're traveling or having to use IE). All that's needed is a telecomm
program that offers VT-100 emulation, meaning, any old II telecomm program
will do.
I don't really know of any other dial up shell accts, plus, you get
the bonus of using your Mac or PC on the system as well. It's the best of
both worlds.

Yeah, and that's why I must have 22 IIGS systems in my garage ;-)

I agree with the first part, as I'm using a IIGS every single day. It's
the second sentence that I'm having a problem with. Not what you wrote,
but the fact that it's true. And, I already used up all my 'eating cat
food' jokes about a year ago :-(
Hey, I know. I'm going to declare that tomorrow, Janaury 10th is "National
Apple II Developer Support Day!" You can participate, anyone can
participate. Just head on over to http://users.foxvalley.net/~joko and buy
something/anything! Couldn't be easier!
And, I'll even ask every purchaser if they want fries with their Apple II
order.
