LOL Would you believe this same friend (whom I hold very dear) "got me into" the Apple IIgs by giving me a pair of IIgs machines, each with a 9Mhz ZipGSX, 4MB RAM card, RAMFast SCSI card, monitor/kb/mouse, and dual drives? :) If it weren't for him, I'd be on my IIe still:)

I am glad they are German made (= better quality), but
lack of a US distributor really makes it hard to buy by credit card
(university purchase).

While I won't argue the merits of US versus German manufacturing, I will say that the card itself is amazingly well done. Even for its VERY small size (My mouse is the same size, roughly, as the LANceGS).

My only real complaint is that they felt it necessary to hide the Ethernet chip's identification by shaving it off. That just means we're stuck with their drivers, and can't write our own. (If you're listening, SSH, I really could use that ProDOS 8 driver...)

But in any case, if I find any more LANceGS cards, I'll let you know. Things like this actually happen fairly rarely for me, and the Gods know how much I appreciate them :)

Take Care!
