My own Apple II+ nowadays runs on a Microbee (!) b&w (actually black-&-yellow)
monitor, which easily syncs on both 625 line 50 Hz and 525 line 60 Hz video
signals. Some 14-16 years ago, I used that one monitor on BOTH my Apple II
and the PC clone I then had, which had a CGA video card with composite video
output. To avoid having to adjust the monitory sync every time I switched
computers, I strapped my Apple II+ motherboard so it did output 525 line 60
Hz video, rather than 625 line 60 Hz which it originally produced (it was
purchased in Europe).
