There are a number of programs around with hard-coded branches into the slot
5 I/O routines - the programmers just *knew* that slot 5 was the disk
controller, so why would anyone put another card in there? :-)
Programs that follow Apple's guidelines for calculating the relevant entry
point continue to work correctly, of course.
