I have obtained a bunch of Apple IIe logic boards. Looking over them, I
noticed something I've never seen before... Where the 65x02 CPU would
normally sit, there's a "8346 G" chip in its place. The board boot just
fine, and it runs the IIe diagnostics processor test without a problem. So
this chip must be 65x02 compliant. Did Apple ship the Apple IIe's with this
chip? Or, did the previous owner add this chip himself?
More on the logic board... 607-0164-B 1982. It was pulled from an Apple IIe
with the white-lettered keys.
Thanks! :)
