Dream on! I cannot see anyone fabricating a 64 bit 6502. There is nothing to
gain by being backwards compatible that far back and much to loose. The 6502
family does not have virtual memory or multiple user levels or any of the
features of a modern family of chips. As far as emulating 6502 instructions
go, any modern CPU can do that in software and still be faster than even the
fastest 6502/65816.

I know that if I had that much time on my hands and wanted to have a CPU
that executed 6502 code directly I would look at a Transmeta Crusoe chip
and write a new personality layer (or whatever they call the s/w that makes
the Transmeta chip emulate an x86 chip) for it.
