Not much would be involved in string a serial cable from your II to your
Linux box, running getty on a serial port, and connecting through ProTERM so
you can telnet out...I used to do that all the time.  Long distance is
cheaper than it used to be, but telnet is still cheaper. :-)

It'd be better if Marinetti added MacIP support so that I could telnet
directly from the GS.  It'd save the trouble (at this point) of stringing a
serial cable to my server, since I already have the two machines connected
through a GatorBox.  That would also open the possibility of porting SSH to
the IIGS (though I don't know offhand whether the '816 delivers enough grunt
to do the crypto that would be needed).
