The IIe actually needs a 26 wire cable. When I wanted to use a DB25 connector to connect an external keyboard to my tower IIe I had to use the metal "housing for the 26th connection. That's an early IIe and the keyboard is the one that came out of that case, just moved to an external enclosure. From this angle it looks like a nice job. Wayne
