Figure it out! I sat at my desk and stared at the ENVOY card for a few more
minutes, and all of a sudden something clicked in my head. It turns out that
the ENVOY card uses the same DIP switch settings as the original SSC.
However, I think that there may have been a shortage of 7-switch DIP blocks
during manufacturing, so they ended up using 8-switch DIP blocks instead,
and it looks like they completely ignore the 8th switch on each block. I
configured the ENVOY card exactly the same as my existing SSC card, and it
works seamlessly with my software.
Also, the modem/printer jumper is identical in function to the
modem/terminal jumper block on the SSC. If you need to set the card to
TERMINAL mode, move the jumper to the "P" position.
