Look for a program called "Flashboot" if you've got around 4MB of memory on
your system (or more). It allows you to create image disks of the /RAM5 disk
and load/save them automatically. It slows booting down, but gives you a 2.4
MB "hard disk workalike" that I used System 6.0.1 from for a few months with
good results before getting a hard drive.

I've used this for years on my hard drive with good results. There is a
slowdown when loading in large files, but it's not bad for most files, and it
about doubles hard drive space for me.
