I did a little feedback history for the winning bidder and it gets
interesting. Same arkhamcinq high bidder--

paid $73 for Apple IIgs NICE COMPUTER PLUS SOFTWARE on 11/14
paid $1 for Original Apple IIe Owners Manual on 11/17
Paid $1 for Original Prodos supplement manual on 11/17
Paid $1 for Original Quick File II Manual on 11/17
Paid $17.40 for Apple IIe Exhanced/128K on 11/15
Paid $15 for Disk II Pair w/ Card TAN ID on 11/15
Paid $1 for The Applesoft Tutorial on 11/17
Paid $1 for DOS Programmer's Manual on 11/17
Paid $151.49 for Repair Maintain Apple II Book on 11/13
That the entire feedback history. Ebay member since only 11/11/02.
Location Japan. When you add overseas shipping to all the above it gets
even more $$pricey$$ !!! What about $151 for that repair book? No feedback
yet for the $1225 GS so I will anxiously watch the feedback to see what gets
posted.
If I was the seller I would have too much of a conscience on that one. I
would throw in free shipping (parcel post) at least!
Our buyer has got everything but a monitor now. Somebody get on ebay and
put up "RARE APPLE IIGS MONITOR FREE SHIPPING TO JAPAN" for $500 openers and
see what happens. Also maybe try "RARE JAPANESE PLATINUM APPLE IIGS POWER
CORD NEED THIS TO GET AN APPLE IIGS TO WORK IN JAPAN K()()L" for $250.
Finally "I SHOW YOU HOW TO BUY APPLE IIGS FOR UNDER $20" :)
I also looked at the feedback for some of the runner up bidders
headneck1 bid $1200 and just barely got edged out. Also from Japan.
He bought "Vintage Apple 512k keyboard" for $50 (and that was a buy it now
bid)
Something is afoot. Somebody, for whatever reasons, is in acquisition mode
and price is no object!
