Re: Apple //c boot disks needed (london, UK)

Peter:
You really only need a NUllmodem cable, Dos or Windows PC, and 5.25" floppy diskette to get started. (I assume you already have internet access.) Download ADT and decompress it on your PC. REad the manual with it. Hook up a null modem cable between the IIc and PC and send DOS using IIc serial port 'terminal' firmware and built in comm software on the PC's DOS or Windows. Format the 5.25" diskette on your apple and reboot it. Next send the ADT program the same way. Run ADT on both computers and away you go!

I've just bought an Apple //c over ebay. I don't have a boot disk for it
(well I do but it's stored in my parents loft somewhere I think)
I am correct in thinking that ADT requires DOS to be running before you can
transfer anything over?
Is there anyone in the London area I can grab a boot disk from (or post one
to me)

I do have a plan B which is to boot an emulator, dump out the memory, and
transfer the memory dump over the serial port to the //c via the monitor, I
suspect if I start with a base //e system (does anyone do a //c emulator?)
this might work.
