Being unsuccessful with the modem, I tried to also print from Print Shop.
Windows 2000 prints the printer test page to the Imagewriter on COM1, and
I've got Applewin set up for COM1 too.  In the setup menu, I've picked:

Printer: Apple DMP, Imagewriter, Scribe
Printer Interface: Apple Super Serial
Printer Card Slot: Slot 1
Number of Disk Drives: 2

Trying to print the test page then reboots the emulator.  Where am I going
wrong?
