Null Modem GS and PC

Everything has gone well with my newly acquired gs EXCEPT doing a null modem
transfer. I've tried most every configuration out there. I could never get
ADT to work.
When I launch a terminal program, I can type on my PC and it will show up on
the GS screen. However, I can't do file transfers! If someone could give me
unbelievably detailed instructions on how to make/buy a null modem cable to
connect a DB9M port on my PC to the modem port on the GS and the best,
cheapest terminal program, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.
